My Journey Begins......
16th May 2007, a new beginning for me. A plan which I have been delaying for so long has finally started.
Long ago I have been interested in insurance and finance related topics. I first developed interest in this field when I attended one of my English tuition classes and the subject of the day was business and finance. All this while I have very little information on this but that day, my lecturer has opened my eyes and brought a whole new idea to me. She has shown us how both these powerful financial tools can help to improved ours and other people's life. I was amazed how shallow I am all this while when people approach me and talk about insurance and investment. That day have been one of the memorable turning points in my life, I started to do my own research on those subjects.
It has been one and a half year and nothing much seems to have happened. I have read many related books from best selling authors like Warren Buffett, Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, Adam Khoo and many more. I have tried my best to gather as much information as possible but yet nothing much has happened. Many of the books have concepts which are only applicable in other countries but not in Malaysia, our home country. At the beginning, I just thought that despite being less useful, the knowledge that I have gained might come in handy in future. Many of my friend wonder why I am so enthusiastic in these subjects when I am doing my Diploma in Electronic Engineering. Well, all I can say is self interest. Deep inside I know one day the skill and knowledge that I have obtained will be very useful.
One day, a group of friends invited me to join them in a gathering. It was during that meeting that one of my friends has suggested me to join an insurance and investment product related company in order to get more information about them. At that time he has just joined a well known insurance company here and asked if I would like to join him. Nonetheless, I have rejected his offer, but in my heart I know it is the best way I can get what I want.
After that meeting, I started to look for various insurance and investment related companies in Malaysia and finally I have decided to join another well known company to fulfil my wish.
Today I have made an appointment and met with Mr K.C.Wong. Mr Wong is one of the top Unit Manager of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad. Despite being very busy with his schedule, he managed to spend some of his time to meet me and discuss about the company. We spend about one hour discussing and finally I have make up my mind. I have decided to join the company as an agent. I hope that with this, I can meet more people and lend a helping hand to everyone who share the same idea and interest with me and also people who need help in the coming future. This day, my journey begins......
